Obsolete
04:38
|
|||
Beneath the crystalline gaze;
hides a great tiger-print maze, always
hiding in cracks in the map's display
But how does it feel to seep below
Society's ebb and flow?
And how do you ride against the low?
Test me, try me, pass it by me
I will help you if I can, just ask me
Call me, it can all be obsolete and I'm your man
Just ask
And so you are hurting for the quiet life and though you may
Control all your uges, promise me that you will stay this way
Because when you starve yourself of what it is you're hungry for
You'll just eat more
Tragically, he tortures me
He found the key
& Now he's free
To kill again
The innocent
You lied to me
You lied to me.

Sometimes I Forget
04:24
|

I forget, sometimes
How it feels to walk along alone into the night
The lack of noise is really nice
When I want to replace the noise with sounds that I like
We really shouldn't drive this fast, man
I know it's going to hurt me sometime
-I really don't know if we should
-but speeding really makes me feel good
-I'm going to drive around
I'm going to take a walk
-As I should slow right down
I will approach a fork in the road
I've a feeling something's wrong
When I hear my lonely daughter start to scream my name
And like a bird I drift along
And when I land, I know I won't be quite the same again
We really shouldn't drive this fast, man
I know it's going to hurt me sometime
-I really don't know if we should
-but speeding really makes me feel good

Though a lone soldier's always fine-
We'll need a little push to jump this time
To take away the motivation
Spread and share what you can't bear
When crippling cops control the crops
Insidious plots, the lot-
They'll say it's not but they know it is
And you'll ask "why's it come to this?"
If this isn't nothing, it's got to be something
I don't know if I'm comfortable you're asking
You're talking to the man who paved the way- you don't know how to do it
You only need the time to educate and teach me
One big mouth is all it takes
To cause a stir, and thus to wake the giant
In the clouds above,
Who tries so hard he can't find love
And he's dislocating arms all day
Won't stop 'til he gets his way
To reason, just say "please"
It won't do anything at all
Though a lone soldier's always fine-
We'll need a little push to jump this time
To take away the motivation
Spread and share what you can't bear
When crippling cops control the crops
Insidious plots, the lot-
They'll say it's not but they know it is
And you'll ask "why's it come to this?"
One big mouth is all it takes
To cause a stir, and thus to wake the giant
In the clouds above,
Who tries so hard he can't find love
And he's dislocating arms all day
Won't stop 'til he gets his way
To reason, just say "please"
It won't do anything at all

Maybe I'm running out of things to say,
Maybe I just never had it at all
I'll no longer be so self assured
But I've climbed too high to fall
Time is running out for me
To make a mark on society
I'll be too old to make my name-
I've only got myself to blame
Try to put my life to words,
Spell it out, it sounds absurd-
Sometimes I wish I could be
Just a leaf on my family tree
I'm torn between, a life of peace
And one of extremes
Dissecting all the compliments I receive
I'm hoping to find insides to believe
I'm not expecting to be rich beyond my dreams
I just want to achieve what I'm destined to
So don't call it, unless you're sure
I know, 'cause I've been there before
